Product Introduction
The API 600 Cast Steel Gate Valve is a bolted-bonnet, outside-screw-and-yoke (OS&Y) isolation valve engineered for high-pressure refinery, pipeline and surface facility service. Manufactured to API 600 / ISO 10434, with a heavy-wall WCB cast body, flanged ends per ASME B16.5, face-to-face dimensions per ASME B16.10, and pressure rating per ASME B16.34. Every valve is tested to API 598 — built for full open / full close duty, not for throttling.
In refinery utility lines, steam headers and gathering stations, general-purpose gates wear out from seat erosion, stem thread corrosion and packing leaks during thermal cycles. This API 600 Cast Steel Gate Valve answers that with a heavy-wall cast body, externally located stem threads, and a 13Cr (CR13) hardfaced wedge ground and lapped to a metal-to-metal seal against the body seats. The renewable backseat allows safe in-line repacking with the valve fully open, while the fully guided solid or flexible wedge eliminates disc drag and seat scoring under pipeline stress. Handwheel is standard; gear, electric or pneumatic actuation available for larger sizes.
For wellhead main bore, Christmas tree and API 6A manifold service, FUZER supplies API 6A gate valves. This valve is positioned for surface facilities and pipeline systems downstream of wellhead equipment — where leak-tight isolation, field serviceability and long service life matter more than shutdown tolerance.
