The Demco / Oteco style mud gate valve is a high-performance API Spec 6A mud gate valve engineered for onshore oil and gas drilling, mud manifold and surface piping applications. Manufactured in strict accordance with API Spec 6A industry standards, this valve delivers durable sealing performance, low operating torque, and strong resistance to abrasive mud, slurry, and well fluid media. It is a reliable solution for standard and medium-duty onshore oilfield working conditions.

Available in common sizes from 2 inch to 4 inch (DN50–DN100) and pressure classes of 2000, 3000 and 5000 psi working pressure, the valve is offered in PSL 1 through PSL 3, with multiple material classes from AA to HH. Custom material selections are available for ordinary and mildly corrosive onshore field environments.

Technical Specifications

The Demco / Oteco style mud gate valve controls pipeline medium on-off through vertical lifting of the integrally forged gate. When the valve stem drives the gate upward, the valve fully opens for straight-through fluid flow with minimal pressure loss; when closed, the gate closely mates with the seat to form a reliable seal. The robust wear plate and elastic sealing structure effectively resist mud scouring and particle impact, ensuring long-term stable operation in onshore drilling mud systems.
